Celebrate 150 Years of the St Arnaud Fire Brigade
This Saturday, 16th November, the St Arnaud Fire Brigade will mark an incredible milestone – 150 years of dedicated service to our community. This historic event is an opportunity for residents of St. Arnaud and the Northern Grampians Shire to come together and honour the legacy of this remarkable organisation.
The celebrations will kick off at 8:30 am with a spectacular torchlight parade, a nod to the brigade's rich history. Starting at the old fire station on Napier Street, the parade will proceed through Alma Street before concluding at the current fire station. It promises to be a sight to behold, with members of the brigade marching proudly with torches in hand, accompanied by a band and vintage fire trucks, adding a nostalgic touch.
The festivities don't end there! At the new station, a special celebration plaque will be unveiled to commemorate this momentous occasion. It's a chance to reflect on the brigade's incredible contribution to the safety and well-being of our community over the past century and a half.
We encourage everyone to line the streets, cheer on the parade, and join in the celebrations. Let's show our appreciation for 150 years of bravery, dedication, and community spirit!
